La cuestión es que en muchas ocasiones el bartender tiene un gran numero de herramientas que utiliza para desempeñarse detrás del bar. Cocteleras y Vasos Mezcladores, Coladores, Cucharas Largas, Pinzas, Palas y Pisones de Mortero. Medidores , Cuchillos y todo tipo de artilugios que utiliza para servir a los invitados bebidas de todo tipo.
The point is that on many occasions the bartender has a large number of tools that he uses to perform at the bar. Shakers, Strainers, Spoons, Muddlers, Tongs, Knives and all kinds of gadgets used to serve cocktails and drinks of all kinds to guests.

Créanme que dicho numero de elementos que el cantinero carga en su mochila, bolso o morral, en ocasiones es una carga pesada. Ni hablar si se llevan ademas botellas o ingredientes.

Para llevar dicha carga de herramientas profesionales (siempre bien pulidas) la calidad del bolso es importantísima.

When a Young bartender starts in the bar world, he carry just a few tools. A borrowed shaker, a bar spoon and a bottle opener may seem sufficient to give the service at the begining. But when time passes, the bartender accumulates a series of utensils, which become indispensable for the correct performance. If the place where you work does not provide them, the bartender must bring their tools.

Religiosamente el cantinero empaca todo su bar en la mochila, lo desempaca al llegar al bar, lo utiliza durante el servicio (todo) y al culminar, lo limpia, lo vuelve a empacar y se lo lleva consigo. Las herramientas del bartender viajero son sagradas.
Religiously the bartender packs his entire bar in his bag, unpacks when he arrives at the bar, use the tolos during service, and at the end of the night he cleans the tools, re pack his bag and take everything with him back home. The traveler bartender's tools are sacred. This is everyday´s routine.

No sirve una bolsita. No alcanza con un morral de botines. Una maleta puede ser útil (sobre todo si se va a una competencia). Un maletín de doctor, cumple la función de llevar algunos implementos. Una mochila puede servir, dependiendo la calidad y sobre todo la cantidad de herramientas a llevar.
A small bag is not useful. Not enough with a school backpack. A suitcase can be useful (especially the ones with wheels, if you are going to a competition). Las correas (en inglés straps) son intercambiables. Se pueden colocar para llevarlo como una "mochila" de ahí su nombre BARBACK, cumpliendo la función de un Back Pack que es la forma mas cómoda de cargar un bolso pesado.
The straps are interchangeable. They can be placed to carry it as a "backpack", which is the most comfortable way to load a heavy bag if you are walking (wich is my case).

Pero a su vez, las correas se pueden ajustar para llevarlo cruzado, en el caso de que andes en moto o bicicleta, o en forma de bolso (Tote Bag) colgando de un solo lado del cuerpo, como cuando uno espera un bus.
You can also cinch the straps down, attach them to the top loops and use it as a bag , that is really comfortable also. If you are waiting fot the bus, the “tote bag” mode is also great. Even you can fix the straps diagonally on the back of the bag and use it as a “messenger” in case you ride a bike or a motorcycle.

Los productores son muy detallistas, mantienen un diseño austero y sencillo en cuanto a la estética (minimalista) y se centran en la parte estructural del bolso. Los cierres son de primera calidad, la tela resistente al agua y de una fibra bien gruesa.
The producers are very detailed, maintain an austere and simple design in terms of aesthetics (minimalist) and focus on the structural part of the bag. The closures are top quality, this other thing I love. I had many bags during my carreer, and zippers is the first thing that go wrong. Of course this is not the case.



No producen muchos bolsos, lo que los hace mas costosos que un bolso común. No quiere decir que son caros, pero si que son una inversión para el profesional si esta decidido a transportar sus herramientas de manera eficiente.
They do not produce many bags, which makes them more expensive than a regular bag. It does not mean that they are expensive, but understand that this bag is an investment for the profesional bartender, mainly if you are determined to transport your tools efficiently.

CONCLUSIONES

Si se busca en internet bolsos para bartenders, en estos momentos se encuentran pocas empresas dedicadas a producir morrales y bags de calidad profesional. Algunos portales de venta de herramientas venden bolsos pequeños y otros un poco mas grandes, mucho mas económicos de de muy mala calidad. un par de usos y se deshacen (se los digo por experiencia).
If you are looking for a bag on the internet (for bartenders), at the moment there are just few companies dedicated to produce backpacks and bags of professional quality. Some web pages dedicated to bartender tools, sell some bags, much cheaper and very poor quality. A couple of uses and are they are done (I say from experience, I had them all).

Luego, muchas empresas que trabajan con cuero y telas, generalmente especializados en Aprons (delantales) tienen algunos modelos de bolsos para bar, pero no especializados. Buen material pero poca practicidad.
Then, many companies working with leather and denim fabrics, have some models of bags. Good quality , but not specialized for bartenders.

Por último los bolsos de algún bartender famoso, hechos de muy buena calidad pero poco accesibles al bolsillo del bartender promedio. O algunos bolsos de diseñador, con detalles increíbles pero muy lejos del alcance económico. Mucho lujo.
Finally there is a few “Professional Bags” created by famous bartenders, made of very good quality but little accessible to the pocket of the average cantinero. Also there is a few “designer” tool bags, with incredible artist details but far from the economic reach. Beatifull and luxurious, but expensive.
